It's a Holiday Weekend. Guess Who Isn't Reading Your Ad Reports The report is fine. The timing is the problem. Reports are written for Monday. They summ...
Reports are written for Monday. They summarize a week that already happened, sitting in your inbox waiting for someone to open them, nod, and file them away.
Which is great, except your ads do not run on a Monday-to-Friday schedule. They run Friday night, Saturday morning, all through Labor Day, straight through the Fourth of July while you are out at Percy Priest Lake with your phone face-down in a cooler bag.
A report tells you what happened. By the time you read it, the weekend it describes is already gone.
Here is the part most owners never see, because they are living their lives like they should be. A product starts moving. People are off work, they are scrolling, they are in a buying mood, and one of your pieces catches.
Say it is a fall pullover, or a set of kids' pajamas, or a leather crossbody you almost did not restock. Over a three-day weekend that ad can do more than it did all the previous week combined. That is a real thing we have watched happen across hundreds of stores.
The moment to lean into it is right then, while it is happening, not on Tuesday when someone finally circles back and reads the numbers.
The flip is just as real, and it is quieter. A product sells through the weekend, both popular sizes gone by Saturday afternoon, and the ad keeps running to people who click and land on something they cannot buy.
Nobody did anything wrong here. You cannot restock a sold-out medium from a lawn chair, and you should not have to.
The report will eventually note that the ad kept spending after the product ran dry. It just notes it three days too late to do anything about it.
There is a difference between knowing what happened and being there when it does. A report is a photo of last week. Coverage is a set of eyes on the ads while the weekend is still going.
That gap is the whole reason Friday at 5pm quietly became the end of most stores' ad attention. Not because anyone chose it. Because that is when the humans reasonably clocked out, and the reports do not start writing themselves until the week is done.
Your agency deserves its weekend. Your marketing person deserves the lake. The ads are the only ones who never signed up for time off.
Lenny is the piece that stays awake. It is an AI that watches your Meta ads the whole time, evenings, weekends, the Fourth, Thanksgiving, all of it, and it knows what your Shopify inventory is doing while it watches.
So when the fall pullover starts winning on Saturday, you get told to lean in, and it is one click to do it. When the medium sells out, the ad backs off before it burns money selling a ghost. You are not reading about it later.
You are deciding on it now, from your phone, without opening Ads Manager once.
This is what we mean when we say your ads run 24/7 and your coverage should too. Not a longer report. Someone home while the weekend is happening.
None of this takes the wheel out of your hands, and it is not supposed to. Lenny does the watching and tells you plainly what it sees. You decide whether to push, hold, or pause, and it does the work with one tap.
Some owners keep their agency and use this as the second set of eyes for the nights and weekends the agency is offline. Others run everything themselves, no media-buyer degree required. Both are completely valid, and we built it for a store at any stage, not gated behind some revenue number.
If you have an agency you like, this is not a breakup. It is coverage for the hours they were never going to work anyway.
The stores that grow steadily are not the ones grinding over reports. They are the ones who spotted the winner while it was winning and did not miss the weekend it happened on.
That is the boring, compounding thing. A hero product gets a little more attention at the right moment, a sold-out one stops spending before it drains, and it adds up over a year of holidays and weekends into real growth.
This is the kind of pattern we help store owners see in their own numbers, in real time, at Agency Long. Enjoy the lake. The ads are covered.
